Porsche 915 trans rebuilders

I am looking for a good, errr, cheap, errr, I mean, good and cheap (does that ever happen?) rebuilder for my 915 transmission. I am aware of the usual suspects....Sol, Eurosport, and Fischer. Any other recommendations?

Have you thought about buying a rebuilt transmission from the likes of PartsHeaven? Could be cheaper. Not sure though.

Larue, You should talk to Mike Davero, Maybe Mikes friend Joey Bones might do it as a side job.. He is talking a little vacation now from work but maybe could use a good hobbie. Shawn knows him too.. Just an idea.

I got it done by Sol at Perfect Power. I subsiquently totalled the car at Road America last year at the PCA club race. Bummer.

But, I am on a new thing now. It's called Miataness. Dig it!
